SHARING HOPE
A life well spent is one that is lived
in service to others.
~Mildred Little
Sharing Hope embraces a way of thinking, doing, and being that embodies a conscientious community-led approach to philanthropy. Our work is not about an event, or response to crisis, or any point in time. Sharing Hope responds to needs as defined by the communities we serve. We're a group of like-minded people united to challenge power asymmetries with a servant's heart.
Our partnerships with individuals, community and faith leaders, and organizations are designed to model the words of John Wesley:
“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as you can.”

Facilitate community-led learning experiences and faith-based cultural practices.
Our HOW
Servant's Heart vs. Savior Complex
We never assume we know what a community needs. Instead, we lead with humility and curiosity by seeking a deep understanding of the root causes that perpetuate patterns of inequity and injustice.
We believe communities know what they want and need. Our role is simply to come alongside and support wherever they deem appropriate.
Our volunteers are dedicated to creating a world that works for all.
“Things don't go away just because you choose to forget them.”

"Your most useful asset is not a head full of knowledge, but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others."
